A Modern Digital Centre for Trainings, Seminars and Events to Be Established in the Village of Dzhulyunitsa
A modern digital centre for trainings, seminars and events will be established in the village of Dzhulyunitsa, creating something truly unique for Bulgaria. The initiative aims to transform the area into a hub for digital learning, education and community activities.
For this purpose, the building of the former sports hall in Dzhulyunitsa, Municipality of Lyaskovets, will be fully renovated and adapted into specialised training facilities. The renovation will be carried out under the ETLLIA – Enhanced Territorial Learning and Labour Integration Action project, funded by the Interreg VI-A Romania–Bulgaria Programme 2021–2027.
At present, the building is in a severely deteriorated condition and is not in use.
What the renovation will include
After the renovation, the building will offer:
- a digital training and activities room, equipped for work in the fields of digital technologies, design and modern learning methods;
- a multifunctional hall for events, suitable for trainings, meetings, presentations and community initiatives;
- fully renovated interior spaces, designed in accordance with modern standards for safety, accessibility and comfort.
The new centre will enable the organisation of training sessions for young people from the village and nearby settlements, as well as workshops, events and various educational initiatives for the wider community.
The renovation is part of the broader vision of the ETLLIA project, which focuses on the sustainable development of educational infrastructure and improving access to quality and inclusive education for young people and adults, including those from vulnerable and remote communities.
With the implementation of the project, Dzhulyunitsa will become an active hub for education, digital skills development and community events. The renovated building will serve as a strong example of how abandoned spaces can be revitalised and transformed into valuable assets for the local community.
